The Brunei III association of school heads and assistant school heads (JAPSER) was selected to be the first to present their small action research to all the school heads in the country. The topic shared by presenters from JAPSER Br III was focus on pupils’ fluency in reading. It was called F 100 (fluency one hundred). F100 was derives from Formula One racing car which refers to ‘speed’. The ‘speed’ is further associated to fluency in reading the first 100 common words. The research involves 661 pupils in Year 1 and 714 pupils in Year 2 (Pupils under special education Programme are involved so long as they have followed the pra phonics instruction and knew all the alphabets. Those with hearing impairment and those with severe learning difficulties are excluded.
Among the attendees during the sharing session were Cikgu Hj Zulkifli bin Hj Ladis, Assistant Director of school (Primary Section), Cikgu Hj Momin bin Hj Tujoh, Assistant Director
(Administration), Senior School Supervisors from each zones, Education Officer, School heads and assistant school heads. The event was held at Sekolah Rendah Rimba II.
